Wonderful Spingtime Stay!

Everything was fully operational at our campsite when we visited in early April. Bathrooms were clean and stocked. Sites were nicely kept. Be aware that they do not sell firewood on-site!

Infested Bathrooms

This campsite would have been perfect if not for the bathrooms littered with bugs, insects, and spiders. Otherwise, the campsite was quiet, the tent sites were nicely spaced out, and the bathrooms were easily accessible.

Not Ideal for Tents

There are only about 6 tent sites at this campground, which makes it not entirely friendly for tent campers. However, the bathrooms were lovely and clean. For those who are allergic, there is a colony of feral cats living outside of the office. OUTDOOR DOMESTICATED CATS ARE TERRIBLE FOR THE ENVIRONMENT, please do not encourage this behavior.

Beware of Sand Fleas!

Camped here while exploring the NPS sites of NC. Could hear the calming waves from the tent site, and just a few short minutes of walking to get to the beach, and we even saw a deer on the dunes! Sand fleas were absolutely terrible at night, bring mosquito netting to hang inside your tent! There’s also no shade here, so get ready to be hot as soon as the sun comes up!

Nice Stay with Lots of Animals!

We stayed here overnight on a trip to Pittsburgh. Tent sites were nicely spaced apart, but were often on inclines, like ours. We saw deer and turkeys, so be on the lookout for lots of animals! Bathrooms were fairly clean! Fun hiking to mineral springs!
