It was an awesome trip. We camped right out in the open and watched the barges go past in the night. The stars and the sunsets were incredible. The view from the lighthouse is pretty incredible. Can only get there by boat, so it's pretty quiet.
Cool rock scrambling in the sandstone cliffs, great tide pooling, and great people. It's a pretty big island and it can take a few days to explore the whole thing. Great sunsets at night!
Always a great time! There's lots of beaches to walk and trails to hike. The little store right outside the camp has amazing salmon.
I loved it here so much. There's lots of good scrambling, bouldering, or just wandering around to do. It's beautiful, a bit alien, and super spiritual.
This place is weird and awesome. There's bison roaming around, badgers, and tons of great birds to watch. There's some really cool stuff scattered along the beach along the Salt Lake. Cool spot, highly recommended.
I have camped here three times and it's always a good time. You can drive here from the Lopez, IS ferry but it's a great spot to boat to. The canoe/kayak sites are beautiful and pretty private. There's beautiful views and great beach combing.
This was such an incredible hike up to the Hannegan Campground. The entire hike up has beautiful views of the glaciers and surrounding peaks. The campground was clean, peaceful, and has an amazing view from the latrine (note: not very private if that bothers you).
The water is lovely and the forest is beautiful! You can chill at the lake and rent a boat or enjoy a hike up Mt. Constitution. It's a very scenic and usually pretty quiet.
This place has it all! Showers, weekend breakfast, a store, a kayak launch, you name it. This is a great place to come with your family and enjoy a day on the lake. They have big roomy sites and lots of lakefront.
Only spent one night, but it was a great spot. It's a primitive camping spot so you'll need to bring water. The campsite is right along Banks Lake and is super peaceful. I immensely enjoyed the crickets and frogs as I was falling asleep.
I have come here every 4th of July for the past 4 years. It is beautiful spot on the ocean on Makah tribal land, with bald eagles flying overhead. The campground is nice and clean and the staff is always lovely. It's first come first served camping and is never too crowded. The fireworks show lasts all day and cannot be beat.
