This was our first time here at lake Somerville birch creek. It was a great one. We stayed in old hickory loop. Lots of trees and plenty of shade. Short trip from Houston so we will definitely be going back!

Nice spot north of Houston surrounded by trees. Lots of them. It was nice and quiet and very dark at night. Swimming at the lake was way better than Lake Conroe! Recommend having a life jacket when swimming. Highly recommend camping here.

Our first adventure into Sam Houston National Forest. Was a great one. Trees all around trails to hike around, full hook ups if you are in an RV or trailer! Tent spots available at all sites!
