We drove up from Houston to see it. We were booked for the weekend, but family plans made it where we did not tow our travel trailer and therefore did not stay. I am writing this review based on what we’ve observed on this visit. It looks safe and quite, plenty of pull through slots here, can accommodate large rigs. Looks like there are a lot of full timers and could be a negative for some, still we felt save. Gary is the person I spoke with, he is nice, professional and helpful. The asphalt could be in better condition, however it does have really beautiful trees through out the property. We are looking forward to staying here New Year’s Day.
We will submit a an other review at that time.
We arrived in the evening, it was dark, and after speaking with the park owner, we were given recommendations of where to park (30/50 amp) can accommodate large rigs, we tow a 31’ travel trailer, we fit just fine. No lights, so bring good flash lights to set up.
If you’re too concerned about getting your rig dirty on a rainy day stay away. The slots are paved and new!
It’s Thanksgiving weekend all of the parks around were completely full. The drives are gravel, but slots are paved, pond in the middle of property, very nice new clubhouse under construction, and just about completed, (11/28/21). Washateria is also very clean. I’m giving this place 4 stars, but only because of the gravel roads which may be a hurdle for some RVers. It was not an issue for us. We’ll be back.
Close to the Texas coast line, closest town is Edna. Be stocked up with all the goodies you enjoy. Closet Walmart is about 20 miles away. It was warm and sunny when we visited Oct 1, 2021. Lots of wild live to keep your interests, including alligators. Texana has a limited number of full service slots, so book in advance.
