Excellent private campground

Stayed here on the way back from Hiking the AT. Clean and hot showers, great bathhouse with lots of privacy. The campsites where clean and well spaced with a lot of greenery in between. Offers both long and short time stays!

A park with swimming and hiking!

Great park! Beautiful well marked trails for all skill levels. Large waterfall with access from two points depending on the difficulty you wish to hike. The river is awesome for cooling down by swimming or shallow enough to find some rocks and just relax. I stayed in the tent only sites which were quiet and had good space between camps unlike many state parks. Clean bathrooms with hot showers too.

Absolutely perfect!

The best campground I've stayed at in SC! So much to do and the lake is like none other. Crystal clear water (think scuba dive clear~honestly) expansive Mountain View's as well as clean bathrooms with hot showers! Water sports rentals available on site. Spent four nights, could have stayed for four more. Hiking in the Jocassee Gorge is literally 30 minutes away via the foothills trail. Had a blast!
