The campground was decent. Some of the spots were quite "cozy". We lucked out with a nice roomy spot with a few trees. The best spots are A42 and 1-3. The bathrooms were well kept with nice showers. The camp hosts were very friendly. The best part of this campground is that you can hike into Rocky Mountain Park from the campground and there is a nice reservoir within easy walking distance. Close to Estes Park, but far enough away to actually feel like you are camping!
Nice campground, a good place to stay while you play on the lake!
Campsite was decent as were the bathrooms. I have camped here a few times. The best time to go is in the late Spring while the creek has a decent amount of water. Bring a smooth, flat bottom sled and have fun sledding down the dunes!
The campground was easy to navigate and some spots are fairly private. The bathrooms were very well taken care of. There's a marina for easy boat launches and views, views, views! You can hear a nearby waterfall from the campground, and there were many trails to hike and explore.
This is one of our favorite hiking areas, especially in the fall.
