Great place! Walking distance to the beach. Clean bathrooms Close to Nags Head where you can buy groceries or go to local restaurants Beach is wide, nice daily walks, birds watching at Pea Island just 8 miles from campground. Yes, the road is there but at night is not busy. I added a map as a picture… if you go to sites B’s and C’s east side… those are great! Stayed at C15 and C21 … sunrise from your camper bedroom! Just perfect!
Great place! By the lake… there are some electric and water hookups. Best location on loop E is E78 On loop C, C43 is also great You are secluded but you take your bike and you are 10 minutes to a market place with coffee and food and everything. Picture is from site C 43
If you are looking for an overnight place or visiting Abilene, this is the place. Full hookups with lots of shaded spots Cell signal is good and the camp has WiFi
Very nice set up! Sites are full hookup with cable… cell signal good(AT&T)… level gravel sites…beautiful prairie views. There is a restaurant on site. Very nice host! We left with fresh eggs collected this morning! WOW!!!! Nice laundry room…bathroom was closed due to COVID. You can hear i80 but it was really not an issue with earplugs.
Place is amazing. Nice sites, lake, wildlife, close roads to bike! Cannot ask for more!
Great campground! Bathrooms and laundry are definitely a highlight (see picture). If more sites with shades I would have given a 5 stars.
Spent one night, on our way to Colorado. Excellent host, campground is nice and quiet.
