Sweet spots along the creek side. Dispersed area that is very spread out so you are not near others. Also has access to climbing walls right by sites.
These sites are located just outside of Zion, but near nothing else. The only thing near by is a ranch (which has fantastic food or just grab a drink and sit by the fire while the cowboys play music at the end of the day). We stayed in a cabin, and while small was cozy and couldn’t hear a thing. Area was not busy at all, and really felt like we had the place to ourselves. Almost no cell service, so have maps downloaded if you need them.
Wonderfully run place. Lots of grills, a stage that had a live musician, and all kinds of places to sit and relax. Sitting under the stars listening to music around a fire was awesome. Tents themselves were really comfortable, had a wood burning stove, and our view was great. Definitely not cheap, but worth the price for a special occasion.
Busy campsite, need to get your reservation early. Although it is busy, the trees make the campsites by the river feel separated. The sound of the river is very relaxing and blocks out any neighbor noise. This section is generator free so nothing too loud. Lots of hikes near by, abandon mountain houses, and even a ghost town in walking distance. Camp store selling wood and anything else you might need. Easy to get to lots of well known Smokey Mountain hikes.
Site was in a hill looking down at the lake. Large tent site that easily fit two 4 person tents as well as a picnic table and fire pit. Plenty of trees to put up hammocks as well to enjoy the view during the day. Can walk down to sandy area of lake where people had pulled up jet skies, were boating, and swimming.
Campsite was right next to lake, beautiful views and easy water access. While we were there in April we only saw a couple other groups, and no other campers were anywhere near us. Bit of a walk to campsites from parking/bathroom. If hauling lots of gear it’s not very easy. Worth the peace and quiet of being away from cars, and in a great spot.
