Big camping area with Great Lake access. It was a bit crowded but it’s to be expected during the final week of summer. Lake was nice and cool.
This is a State Park that requires a Discovery pass for day use and parking. If you pay for a camp site the parking is included. Some sites don’t have any privacy but other have plenty. The showers are by tokens 2 for $1, each token gives you 3 minutes of shower time. Plenty of things to do around town.
The camp is first come first serve. There’s only 12 spots for tents and there can be up to 8 people per spot. The views are amazing and the sunrise is amazing from camping area. We were there in late August and it was pretty cold at nights but the days were cool enough to go for a hike.
Safe campground, nice and courteous staff, clean property. Amenities include bath house, laundry, and game room. Tent spaces are very spacious.
