Crowded Urban Camping

The campsite is best with a camper/RV. Can get loud with local partiers and sketchy bookings. It’s right in an urban/suburban corridor with incoming air traffic overhead constantly. It is getting two stars instead of one because the beach is clean and the amenities are okay.

Great spots

Few amenities here compared to many state parks, no surprise. The spots are fairly private though, and the table and fire ring were well maintained. Easy access to the lake and plenty of hiking! It rained on us, but we made the best of it. :)

A fun historic state park

Had a blast playing frisbee on the beach, hiking between the artillery posts, and even managed to grab a few postcards from the concessionaire! Some of the sites are less private, but ours was nice.
