Underated Park and Campground

We stayed in site C6 one of the reservable sites. Every site has plenty of room. Campground overall is quiet. And most if not all of the full hookups are pull throughs. But seems many of the tent sites are on grades. Couple beautiful walk in tent sites right on the water. Plenty of nice hiking trails. Great beach for kids.

Nice for a Long Weekend

This campground is an easy drive from Pittsburgh. Nice hiking trails. Other activities available like boat rental and swimming at the beach. Closeby is Janoski's farm market - huge with everything from chocolates to a floor with gifts. Also worth visiting for the short hiking trails is the Wildflower Reserve. Downside is bathhouse compared to other state parks not as clean. But overall very nice time.

Beautiful Park on the Water

This is a relatively small campground on the river. Many sites are shaded and the park and restrooms are very clean. Firewood is available at the campground. Hosts were very friendly. The one downfall is that the sites are fairly close which is quite noticable when louder young kids are nearby. If the sites were further apart this would be less of an issue. But overall great place. We spent alot of time hiking - nice hike to Beartown Rocks.

Nice Shaded Sites. Easy Water Access

This is a beautiful campground. Most spaces are shaded and if not on the water, close to the water. We took kayaks - endless places to put into the water including from many sites. Easy 1.5 hour drive from Pittsburgh. Places close by to buy cheap firewood - bought tub for $3. Also spend morning on kayak trip to float down Shenango River after shuttle from Carried Away Outfitters which is 8 miles away. Great time.

Quaint, Nice Amount of Activities

Getting used to our new travel trailer so visiting alot of local state parks. This one is clean with a majority of spots shaded. Much to do to occupy a few days. We hiked but there is also rental boats and kayaks, a very nice pool, a mini golf, and many short hiking trails. Just over an hour from Pittsburgh. Restrooms and park very clean.
