Lots of screaming kids the weekend we were here, but we found the quiet trails. Lower campground offers no privacy, but a newer shower house and views and access to the lake. Upper campground has a handful of sites that are tucked into the woods and are really quite lovely.

Sweet little campground! Some road and railroad noise, but the hikes along the Amnicon River and spacious, private sites make up for it. We filled our fresh water at the park office (call ahead and ask). Very friendly and helpful rangers! Dump station is 18 miles down the road at Pattison State Park. Not too far from exploring Superior, WI and Duluth, MN.

Great place to check out if everything else is booked. Water is a hand pump. Dump station in the town of Marcell. Some sites are on the water with a private set of stairs to the lake. Swim beach, wonderful campground hosts, and spotless pit toilets.
