When I need a weekend get away but don't want to drive to far this here is the spot! The facilities are kept up quite well and the campgrounds are secluded enough. As for the trails, that's what I love the most. Many types of grounds within a short hike. Tall pines, lakes, creeks. Even a nice canoe/kayak rentals. Even if you're not looking to overnight it at least go for a nice hike!

This here is one of my favorite campgrounds in Michigan. The facilities are clean and kept up. All access to trails, lakes and the river are close and easy to get to. Great location to bring family and pets.

I recently camped here for a total of 4 days, beginning of aug. The campgrounds where family friendly with the expectation to the restrooms. As for location in regards to hiking, trails, sight seeing it was spot on. My 80yr old grandmother was even able to do some of the trails. If you enjoy a nice hike the trails are worth the views. Would I return? Yes - but during another time of the year to experience it from a new viewpoint.
