The sites are on top of each other and people walk right through your site. Our dog nearly bit someone because he was so stressed, and he's a lab. The only redeeming trait of this site was the showers. We split time between this campground and Collegiate Peaks in BV and wanted to leave to go back to BV the minute we got to Estes.

This campground is great! Sites are nicely spaced and restrooms are clean. It was a little noisy after sundown with some surprisingly loud prairie dog barking! Also a few St. Patrick's Day partiers, but that's to be expected. Hiking in the area is great, but watch for ticks.

We stayed at Collegiate Peaks in July 2017. It was my first time ever camping and now I'll never quit! This campground was just perfect. The sites are evenly spaced, the restrooms are clean, but best of all is the creek! The sound of the water is just glorious. I would highly recommend this site to anyone looking for a quiet retreat near Buena Vista.
