Huge campground. Store, restaurant, laundry room, and gas station near by.

We stayed here in June 2018. It went from 80 to 30. We had sunshine and snow. The sites are somewhat close together. We had some issues with our neighbors children cutting across our site on their bikes, singing loudly at 5am and throwing rocks in the road. If you are having issues with a neighbor you're going to have to report it. The campground is too big for the Rangers to catch bad behavior. Besides the rude neighbors we really enjoyed the campground. There were restrooms near by but no hot water. You have to drive to the bathhouse but it's super nice (lots of hot water). We cooked most meals at our site but did eat at the restaurant for two meals, lunch and breakfast. The food was very good and not as expensive as I thought it would be. We used the laundry room. Tip - if you're washing one load it was faster to dry the load in two dryers and the same amount of money. The lady next to us had the same size load and used one drier and had to run it twice to dry her clothes all the way. We would stay at this campground again. I would recommend staying on the outside of a loop. We stayed on the inside of one and were connect to all the other sites. The outside sites are a bit more private.

Close to the beach. Needs more restrooms. Overall a nice campground.

I have stayed here a number of times. This is a nice campground. Some sites are a little close together but others are more spacious. There is a small store, a playground, laundry room, free bath houses, the whole state park, Fort Miles, a nice bike path, a nature center, free bike use and the beach. The bathhouses and restrooms are very clean. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 stars is because they need more restrooms. They have one old bathhouse that is separate showers and restrooms. The other two are bigger and newer rooms with a shower, sink and a toilet. They are very nice except if you have to use the restroom you have to wait for someone to finish showering which can be a while. This has not stopped us from visiting this campground. Definitely bring your bikes (or barrow one). Lots to see and do.

My favorite campground

I love this campground! Great hiking, biking, kayaking and fishing. They have a really nice playground for kids (which is separate from the campground). You can rent kayaks, canoes and fishing gear. The camp sites are spaced out nicely. The bathhouse is very clean. If you stay on the tent side there is a kayak launch. The sites are laid out in a circle with the bathhouse in the center. You can purchase ice and firewood from the ranger station and some other odds and ends. The Park Rangers are nicest. 5 star campground!
