Great Family Camping

Camp hosts were so nice! Good sized spots and all with a River view. Water and electric hook ups at most sites and no noise from generators. Picnic table a fire ring on sites.

You can rent float tubes for the River and the have life jackets for kids. We are already looking forward to our trip next year.

Nice for families but some noise from the highway

Nice place to take the kiddos. Right off the parks Hwy before the Big Lake turn off.

We chose #8 a beachfront site. #7 is wider for anyone trying to decide which one. There is a older swing set for smaller kids to play on and there are kayaks, canoes, & paddle boats for rent. A fire pit and wood table provided at each site.

You do hear noise from the Highway and it looks like there are some long term residents that were running their generators consistently.

Owner is very nice to work with and will bring you a wheel barrel of fire wood for $15.

Great for families

Really enjoyed our stay here. Lots of options for lake front, pull through, and back in. I recommend making a loop around before choosing a spot. Camp host was very nice. If you have kids bring their bikes!

Noisy parking lot/clean bathrooms

It was okay. The area was clean but you park in a paved parking lot, too close to other campers to use an awning. Area was pretty when you went down to the lake.

Our big downers we’re having to pay for an additional spot to park our truck. Our TT is 26’ which fills the spot, we were told at the gate we would have to pay for an additional spot somewhere else on the grounds even though we were directly across from day use parking. Frustratingly our “neighbors” were able to leave their trucks there over night without any fuss. There wasn’t much respect of the noise rules, generators were running all night, music blaring until 2:30am, and motorized kids vehicles running loops in the day parking.

FYI this is a no alcohol camp ground.

I know many people who camp here frequently and love it but this isn’t the spot for my family.

Highs and Lows

Smaller sized camp ground, about 10 sites. Some sites have direct lake access, others more back into the trees. Camp sites are TIGHT- watched a few RVs and 5th wheels struggle into spots on the one way road. Bathrooms were well maintained. Our big bummer was a hornets nest underneath the provided picnic table. We were there 10 minutes and I was stung through my hoodie. Camp host was pleasant. There is a curfew of sorts where they lock the entrance and exit gates at 8pm/10pm and open again at 8am.
