We have camped here in the Spring and Fall. There are a few sites with shade so they are great. Most sites are on the river. And since this is at the north end of 128 much quieter road traffic. This place is in the amphitheater so the views are incredible. Very close to Fisher Towers trailhead which is my favorite hike in Moab. 

We went in Mid April and it was quite windy, but the weather was beautiful. When you go on the no moon days you can see all the stars.
