Full hookups(electric/water/sewer) for rvs, as well as primitive tent sites. Facilities are bit on the older side, but 2 shower houses are available. River access within walking distance. Canoe and raft rental available.
Great little spot for "on your honor" camping with some electric sites for rvs, but mostly primitive sites. Also some dispersed camping on a hiking trail available.
the campsites within the park were clean and more than suitable. beach access to the lake is within a quarter mile or so from the campgrounds comma in the lake view from that beach is fantastic. The park gets a three-star review from me, solely based on the restriction of alcohol within the park.
Campgrounds within the park were nice. Alcohol is not allowed at all within campground.
The campgrounds and cabins can be a bit difficult to book, if visiting on a Friday or Saturday, but the park is worth it. Cold spring fed, stocked stream, which is the start of the current river. If you're trout fishing, you'll need your MO state fishing license, as well as a daily trout tag within the park. Below the park at Tan Vat landing, you'll need your MO state fishing license and a trout license. Areas on the Current River, directly below Montauk are "Blue Ribbon" areas, so be sure to read the restrictions on trout fishing.
The Current River was fantastic, as it always is. Multiple cold springs feed into this normally clear river. Water moves a bit faster than most of the floating rivers/creeks in Missouri. Expect about 3-3.5 mph. Plenty of places to disperse camp between Tan Vat, down to Two Rivers Landing. Also many drive-in campsites along the river.
