first place I went camping in Colorado and I loved it so much I paid for an extra day. it rained on the last day but it was still wonderful. felt lost in the mountains and loved it
good spot of you don’t mind all the sun. we brought a kiddy pool to cool off.
the lake is beautiful and there is a Christian campground across the lake that has a rental place for paddle boarding canoeing and more. there is also a convenience store near the rental store. the walk from camp to the lake is not far and the Christian camp ground is not loud or disruptive at all. just careful there are bear sitings here.
This camp ground is great. It’s at the base of the road that leads to Mt. Evans. The host Rick is very nice and dog friendly. There is also the convenience of a lodge right across the road so if you want some good food and AC. Take note there is no running water but a LOT of trails near by so that was awesome.
