Lots of campsites for yurt, trailer, tent

But that’s also the downside - there are somewhere near 200 sites and they were all booked. It was FULL. No cell reception but water and power at the yurts and even heaters inside. We pulled a teardrop and camped it on the pad in front of the yurt.

Bring rain gear even when it’s not in the forecast and watch out for sand fleas - my legs are destroyed.

Balanced Rock Campground

Ohmygoodness. This place is THE BEST. I couldn’t believe we found it in the middle of nowhere. Camping along both sides of road beside river inside small canyon. Walking distance to Balanced Rock. Lots of natural features. Kayakers paddle up and then float back down. Lots of fishing but little catching. Definitely worth the drive. No cell signal In canyon though.

ROAD CLOSED

Drove ten minutes down a road to come to a one-lane underpass with a gate across it. Turned around and disperse camped closer to the exit.

Oklahoma Panhandle Campground

We are traveling with a travel trailer and three generations of family (five of us ages 4-64). We LOVED this campground! Well maintained playground for the kids. Very clean bathrooms with free hot showers. Big shade trees. Full hookups. Kind host. We wished that we could’ve stayed longer. A few sweet cows behind us and a thunderstorm in front of us and hundreds of happy birds singing. Highly recommend.
