If you are near the border and are looking for a great place for your furry companion, Lakewood RV Resort is a great stop. It's near South Padre Island, and the border. If you're looking for a location where you can stay and experience nice amenities though, this is great for that as well.
Don't expect rustic or run down locations here. Full RV hookups, pools, billiards, and outdoor activities for all ages, but especially seniors. I can't recommend this place enough!
This is a nice, little East Texas park. It has a pond, and is surrounded by "tall/large" trees that you don't get a lot of in Texas. You can expect a nice laundry area, easy parking and nice people.
If you are traveling through, this will be a nice stop, whether for a few days, or for a longer period.
If you're looking for a spot to be a Winter Texan, this should be in the top of your list. With over 300 RV spots. Near South Padre Island, but nestled in the town of Harlingen, you're able to immediately see the back life, but also be in "regular, non-touristy" towns.
This camp is filled with any amenities you're looking for in a camp site. It's worth your visit!
Nice grounds. Stocked fishing pond. Full rv hookups. They have a dog park, playground, and a propane station on site.
This is a great spot if your plans are to be on the water. Kayak, boat launch or even just wading in. City water and full hookups right on the water. I haven't seen a site that can get your camper closer to salt water than this place!
Great for kids. Private grounds with lake. There are several hookups by the lake, and a large bunks (or house is more accurate). Lots of exploring, swimming, fishing. 2 donkeys that rove the property.
This is a cool site. They have plenty of full hookups available. Pavilions and buildings for gathering to enjoy jam sessions, whether playing or listening. Kids love dancing to the music. Wifi available, too.
1 mile from Lake Texoma. No shower amenities. Full hookups. Reasonable cost.
Nice park, but large portions were shut down for renovation in 2020, including the swimming beach. There were nice camp sites with full hookups. Lots of trails to hike. They even have an old farm to tour. Plenty of fishing spots.
