We stayed in spot T04 and had a beautiful view of the lake and mountains. Unfortunately it was really windy during our stay, but we will be back during the spring and summer.
This was our first time to Carter Lake. We really enjoyed the area. This particular campground was clean and the camp hosts were great. The campground itself is not technically on the lake but still has access to the marina. Depending on what spot you get, you may have wonderful views of the lake.
We really enjoyed this place. Some campsites are close together and some are spacious. The Resevior is beautiful and our kids enjoyed paddle boarding and kayaking. Camp hosts were friendly. The sites are picked up but not manicured by any means and there is road noise due to the proximity of the roads around the region.
Overall, we thought this was a fun place and will be back due to how close it is to home. A quick hour drive for us. We would recommend getting a location on the waterfront if possible. Easier access to water sports this way.
