Basic Site

Has everything you need as far as hook ups and bathroom/showers. More of a place to park and then drive to where you plan on doing things as there are no activities at the grounds. Need base access in order to use.

Family friendly

Camp sites are well shaded and have a lot of space. Walking distance to Lake Michigan with beautiful view of the sunset. Bathrooms were clean and showers were okay considering it is a campground. There is a playground for kiddos as well as bike rentals. A lot to do within the State Park.

Only negative is to be prepared to level your RV. Our site was not even. Not all spots were this way, but you will definitely need blocks or what not.

Small sites for Camper Trailer

Although the location was ideal the sites were small and close to each other that would not be very comfortable. There are two loops and both are tight, which made it difficult to maneuver. Season campers were friendly though!

Family Friendly

Convenient location right off the highway, but with that you do get the noise. Has a playground and pool as will as a convenience store. Bathrooms and showers were clean. Not much to do outside of the campgrounds, but we were just passing through so was an ideal spot for us. Offers military discount.

Has what you need

Campground is right by the power plant, but also have beautiful views of the lake. There is not much shade and if lot is full you are very close to other campers.

Annual Trip

Family goes there every year. Campground offers many amenities and with the river right on site there is so much to do. We always go tubing and kayaking. Bathrooms and showers are decent for a campground. Also love that there are a lot of trees to provide shade during the hot days.
