Mosquito Playground

I stayed in the month of September and it was so mosquito infested that I couldn't come out of my tent. No amount of deet or citronella helps. Small primitive dispursed camping. No water or toilet. There is a stream that runs clear but still treat before using.

Great quiet place

Cute little dispersed campground approx 6 sites. At least 2 of them are good for me trailer although I wouldn't try if you're not experienced with towing. The road to get there was approx six miles of gravel winding single lane road. But so worth the drive for the beautiful shaded sites and the open Lakeview sites. Not alot of traffic comes through during the week. Has one vault toilet that was pretty clean but bring your own tp. Also it is bear county so be sure to bring bear proof containers although it was so hot when we went that the wildlife was hiding out…lol

Nice dispersed camping

We stayed in a site right across from the river. There's a little fish station there but otherwise easy to access the water. Port-o-potties were clean when we arrived on a Thursday but after many families showing up over the weekend they were trashed, filthy and out of toilet paper by Sunday. During the week it very quiet with the sounds of nature and the river in the background too sleep by. We were able to leave the rain fly off the roof of the tent so we could star gaze until we fell asleep. Overall a nice place to camp if you can handle the heat.

Great for Boat Fishing

Discover Pass required. Not for regular camping. Used for staying overnight and getting up early to hit the water.

Great memories

Free during the off season but don't get stuck with a dead car battery. Can get really cold and no phone service and very few people pass by.

Free in off-season

$10/night for the 5 individual sites. No reservations for individual sites. $5 fee for each additional vehicle after two vehicles.

There is a $50 per night fee for the group site which can accommodate 15 people and can be reserved. Reservations are available for this site from the Friday of Memorial Day weekend to the Tuesday after Labor Day. This is the only site available for reservation at Lake Inez. For reservations, visit Recreation.gov.
