The owners were very nice and helpful. The campground was very clean and all sites were decentIy Ieveled graveI pull through with a few extra large sites for big rigs. We had no problems parking and leveling our 30ft TT. Our site was full hookup. Some sites had a little shade. Very nice and clean bathrooms with two showers and two stalls in each. Laundry room had two washers and two dryers. WiFi was good, but streaming was spotty. The campground is just outside of town. Roadway noise was minimal. The town is beautiful and has several great restaurants and if you have kids you must visit Tiger Plunge Pool. Great stop and I would absolutely stay again!
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The campsites were gravel and unlevel. WiFi and cell service were good. Bathrooms were clean. The kids enjoyed the pizza they make here and they will deliver it to your campsite when ready. I did wake up several times in the night to the sound of trains or planes passing by. The train tracks are right next to the campground. Nice place to stay.
Apparently the main lake has been drained for now. The roads to and through the campground are a bit rough, so you may have to drIve slow. The campsites are paved and leveled. Bathhouse is clean. Full hookups at our site. Overall this was a nice campground.
We found this campground late one night coming out of the Badlands. It was a nice campground with a clean bathhouse. It is surprisingly quiet to be so close to the main roads through Wall. Be sure to stop by Wall Drug. It is a tourist trap but it is pretty neat to walk through all of the shops. It also has some nice places to eat.
You certainly won’t get bored here. There are lots of things to keep the kids busy so you don’t even have to leave the campground. The store, laundry and bathhouse were all nice. I was a bit nervous about navigating this place though. The loops were tight and the sites very close. Most sites will need work to level campers. We picked the wrong weekend to visit as it was full! It was pretty noisy and very busy all evening. On a more quiet weekend, I would love to visit again.
Nice size lots and very clean. Roads and sItes were easy to navagate. Bathrooms and showers were some of the nicest I have seen. Plenty to do in the campground. I would certainly stay here again.
It was very dark when we were driving up the mountain to find this. We had to really look for the signs in the dark, but it was worth it. Just keep following the dirt road and it should be on the left. $7 sites (2017). It only has vault toilets but they were seriously the cleanest vault toilets that I have ever seen!! lol The view is wonderful with a small creek next to the sites. The host was so helpful in getting us settled so late at night. Buffalo are known to roam through the campground too.
We have been going to this park off and on for years. They do have a motel if you don’t have an RV/tent. The bathrooms are clean. There are lots of things to do in the campground like disk golf, hiking, swimming, waterslide, canoeing, fishing and playgrounds. The only reason I didn’t give it a five stars, is because a lot of the campsite pads are broken and narrow and the ground is washed out around it. I know it is an endless battle for the park to keep up with probably. We had to be very careful about stepping out of the camper because it dropped off quickly. We were constantly grabbing the kids so they didn’t fall. I would certainly go back though. It is very beautiful.
The campground is very clean and well maintained. Campsites are limited so plan ahead. We loved the trails along the river. There is little to no privacy between sites, but I would love to visit again.
I live an hour away so this is one of my favorite spots to visit. There are enough campsites that you don’t have to worry much about finding a spot somewhere unless it is a holiday weekend. Some sites are very open next to the pond and some are back in the woods and more private. I love that the campsites are mostly spread out so you don’t have to worry about neighbors being too close. The pond is beautiful and the trails are great. The paved roads through the campground are great for bikes also. The bathhouse is well maintained. The only thing I would love for them to add is playground equipment for the little ones.
