The sites are a little small but the hospitality of the owners/hosts ensure that we’ll be back. My husband ended up with some sinus issues on the day we were supposed to leave and wasn’t able to pull the camper home until he felt better. We offered to rent the site for another night and they said since we wouldn’t be staying there they wouldn’t charge us. I feel that’s great customer service.
Calumet County is one of our favorite places to go - it’s close to home and quiet with gorgeous views of the lake. It’s hard to get our favorite site but there are plenty of nice sites in the park.
We have camped here for 9 years for Country USA. The shower and restrooms in the office building are nice but there are some things they could do to improve the campground. You can’t park at your site unless you have have a site with a gravel pad. Even if you have a woven mesh mat outside your camper they don’t like you to have it out. They did improve the electric service a couple years ago. Generally pretty quiet.
Stayed for 2 nights (Fri and Sat) in Aug and really enjoyed it. We don’t have small kids but 2 of the couples we were with did and they had so much fun with the water chute and inflatables. The campground was quiet and everyone was friendly. We’ll be back!
