Close to the city and plenty to enjoy

For being so close to the twin cities, this park boasts some really great camp sites.

Ive camped here several times and enjoyed all the sites I’ve had. 1-4 are pretty objectively the best ones but there’s no bad sites IMO

If you’re lucky you’ll see a Blandings Turtle, wow! State turtle of MN dontchaknow

Lots of other great stuff to see too. Lots of bugs but like, deal with it, you’re in the wetlands of the big woods

Eagle’s Eye View of the Great Mississip

This place has truly an amazing view.

Very nice facilities for group camping and picnics.

Average campsites.

We bike toured here from mpls in a day which is a nice trip if you go along the river.

Id recommend this place for any amount of people in any vehicle(s) for a short stay. There’s great views but it’s a pretty small park so don’t plan a 4 day hiking stay or anything. If you’re there a night or two there will be plenty to see and it really is a great park!

Small park with great campsites and trails

Bison. Wildflowers. An old quarry.

And that’s about it.

Beautiful park with nice trails… you can hike them all in an afternoon if you’d like.

Highly recommended for a night or two.
