Bumpy but manageable road. Higher clearance vehicle recommended but not necessarily needed. Fire ring available. If you’re looking for a getaway from the main Moab campsites this is a nice place.
Two bars for Verizon.
Road out was a little bumpy but and a 2 wheel drive sedan could easily make the trip. Quite a few ppl were camping along the road but still super quiet.
No services at all. Gotta pack everything out.
Would definitely stay here again
If your looking for a place to crash with no shade and hundreds of Prairie dogs, then this is the place for you.
We showed up about four and every site but one was taken. The site actually stayed busy through the night and most just found a empty spot and racked out.
Overall it’s a nice campsite with a significant number of Prairie dogs and a bathroom that was clean but toilets definitely haven’t been pumped in quite some time.
Pro tip: If I haven’t mentioned Prairie dogs, they have a lot and, they apparently love grapes or anything they can get their little hands on.
Arrived late night on a Friday(no sprinklers on). Most sites were taken but we found a picnic table and set up.
Super quiet and peaceful. Balanced rock is right down the road. Don’t blink or you’ll miss it.
I’ll add if your looking for a quick stop near a highway, this isn’t the place. Took awhile to get there but overall worth the stay.
