Bathrooms are a hike so plan ahead if you are tent camping.

Laundry, shower, playground and tourist facilities. Two caves and a winery on site. It's pricey but worth it.

Tony and his wife are the camp hosts. Tony was so helpful and nice. The camp sites are spacious and clean.

This is a real family oriented campground. Although it is a primative campground, it allows for fishing, boating and a playground.

Backbone is a very diverse area. There are miles of trails. Is hiking your thing? What about equestrian? Maybe mountain bike trails? You can even take the family for a nice leisurely walk on the easier trails. Exploring is fun at this park because there is so much to see. The Trout stream was busy the weekend we were there. You might even want to play a round of Gulf. We have solar on our trailer so we stayed in the Six Pines campground and it was beautiful. We listened to the night animals for hours.

We ventured south to Geode State Park near Burlington, IA. We are getting the travel trailer tweeked in. We weathered a rainy 🌧 day Saturday (all day). There was enough room that it was not uncomfortable. We started having issues with our propane heater. So what do you do when camping and it has been raining all day? You go for a hike in the woods and find treasures. The sounds or nature are so amazing. The hike was very soggy and I even found a treasure. It was an old can of salve.

This is a beautiful campground seated in a valley surrounded by amazing hills. There is minimal phone service. That means you get to absorb nature.

This is a clean campground. There are many sites close to the lake.

Many different trails for hiking, biking or equestrian. Camp sites are mostly grass. Beautiful park

Park managers are very nice. Shower house is amazingly clean. Camp sites are easily accessible.
