Left chandelier drive through tree, was immediately looking for a camp spot for the night, this one was right off the highway and we got there a little before dark. We didn’t have the right bills to leave our payment, so we paid as the camp hosts made their morning rounds. A couple showers were out, but others were available. It wasn’t as quiet as it was supposed to be with some of the other guests around, but it didn’t bother us! Kids went strait to sleep! Next morning, we did our bathroom rounds and packed up and hit the road! I would definitely stop again
Tried calling several Times right after hours, they must have abruptly left the office. Made a booking on their website, had to book a hook up camper spot because they didn’t have the tent sites available (all were available upon arrival). We got the confirmation email but it did not include the code to the bathroom! Next morning, still nobody in the office. So we had to wait by the bathroom until another camper showed up and begged them for the code. Also no wifi. Not thrilled with their lack thereof.
Traveling north from the Bay Area, we used the Dyrt app to find a suitable place to pitch a tent and stay the night on our way north to the redwoods. Online reservation was so easy, drove right to the campsite, pitched our tent just about an hour before dark giving the kids enough time to find some shells and get wet. They had plenty or porta potties around and several trash bins, and we were tempted to stay another night even!
