Been coming to this area/Hotsprings since I was in High School and my daughter, her friend, my son and myself went up to celebrate my daughter turning 14 on 6/20 and me turning 52 on 6/21. Was really hoping for a solstice soak but was disappointed when I got there and the whole tub area was under construction until 6/28/2019, we were just a little early. The beautiful river that leads up to Bagby is a fly fisherman's dream but, alas…due to over fishing and poor wild fish habitat management, those waters are barren. Love the area just wish there were more options for that river other than to cool off in during the summer heat. The campground is first come first serve, has toilets, bring a water filtration system for some great tasting river water, onsite water is spotty, also bring your own TP! Camp sites are far enough apart that you have privacy, try and get the river side camp sites to avoid road traffic noise!
TThis is a great place to skip the city noise but still be close in to the city! I will go here mid week and do an overnight trip after work to do some steelhead/salmon fishing on the Sandy River which runs through this huge greenspace! Highly recommend this campground!
TThis is a great lil campground on the shores of the North Fork Reservoir! The sites are tightly spaced with cabin, yurts and tent camping available. There is trout fishing starting May 22 and continues through October. Cheap way to get out of the city
