Hidden gem

We were looking for.a place to camp near Redding, our home town. This campground is about 30 mins from Redding. It was an easy tow on rural but well maintained roads all the way to the campground. Easy tow for my 25.5 foot travel trailer and 2019 Chevy taho .

The store is well supplied with camping and fishing needs. The park has lots of trees for shade and the spaces are wide. Wider than any other places we have stayed . The spots are grassed, all clean and well maintained. Everyone there was very nice and will happily give you fishing advice, if you ask.

Our dogs loved the area down below, we would take them off leash and let them do dog-things.

Just around the corner from the campground ( walking distance) is access to the river. The whole family enjoyed dipping in when it’s warm outside

We will be back

Cool little spot

We had a great stay. Lots of permanent residents, so know your rv etiquette. Biggest I would put in here would be about a 30 foot trailer. You have to disconnect your tow vehicle. River access right around the corner. Lady in the store was very sweet.

Loved it!

We really enjoyed our stay here. I was a little worried as reviews warned of rude staff. This could not be farther from the truth in my experience. Everyone was super nice and helpful. I’m guessing the people that wrote those reviews are the type to me mean to people in general. Don’t listen to those jerks.

We stayed 2 nights and really enjoyed our stay. My daughter caught her first fish(s) here in the pond. Store is well provisioned and grounds are very well maintained. We will be back here for sure! Thanks for the great time.

Nice little spot

We enjoyed a pull thru full hookup spot. We had our dogs and 5 year old with us. There was a fair amount of space between sites. We all enjoyed a meal at the steak house. After we let mama gamble as my daughter and I enjoyed the arcade, then we switched. If we need to get away for a night, I can see us coming back here again.

Right on the creek!

Stayed at a full hookup site in my 22 foot travel trailer. We got a spot right on the water. The spots had a bunch of space between them and you had a feeling of privacy. The store here was closed, but there is one a couple miles down the road that is well stocked. We will be back here for sure.

No quads!

Let me start by saying that the area is beautiful. This place is very big also. We planned a trip for our daughters 6th birthday. Got 3 full hook up spots for us, friends and family. These spots aver VERY hard to back in to. The trees are leaning toward the center of the sights literally giving us a foot of room on each side to back in a 24 foot trailer. Boat ramp is very sketchy for a larger patio style boat, will not be doing that again. We brought our daughters quad with us ( little 110cc kids quad) as we were told rides to the store and boat ramp were ok. After about 5 mins of her being on it we were told no more quad riding that day because another group on the other side of the campground had been on them late the night before. Total crap. That was the main thing she was looking forward to that weekend. We will be looking for a place with more space between sites next time and is ATV friendly.
