Awesome!

Awesome spot- camped on a little peninsula at the south end of the island. Gets a little loud with boat traffic at times, but really a great spot. Well maintained spots, plenty of shade, lots of trees!

Beautiful, off the beaten path

Last year we came to Indian Lake and fell in love with it, so this was my second trip. All of the campsites are accessible only by boat, and between a 15 and 25 minute journey depending on which site you choose/if you're leaving from the marina or ranger station. We went the weekend after labor day, and there were hardly any other campers- we were on an island, but the nearest occupied campsite to us was probably 1/2 mile away.

The sites are huge, well maintained and have beautiful views of the lakes and surrounding hills. All of them have huge picnic tables and really robust firepits with grills. Great if you love stargazing, fishing, or just a nice quiet campsite. Definitely one of my favorites.
