Camp ground is nice enough. Had last minute availability when my initial first come first saved camp spot fell through. It’s currently 10pm and other guests aren’t the most considerate as far a noise goes. Other than that it’s a decent camp ground in a great spot on the Oregon coast and a dry camp spot was only $26. Hard to beat that! Definitely worth a consideration if State parks north of this place are full.

I stopped here for a night on my mostly off road loop of the peninsula 4th of July weekend.  I was lucky enough to be able to set my tent up in one of the larger river front sites that a couple was kind enough to share with a solo camper.  Wasn't very excited to leave my motorcycle just up the hill from my tent, but nothing was stolen overnight thankfully.

Falling asleep to the sound of the river running was fantastic.

I really enjoyed this campground, AT&T had enough signal there so I could at least text with my wife.  Not sure why this page says there is WiFi, I can assure you, there isn't.

The biggest downside of this spot was the horribly maintained pit toilet, but they are what they are I guess.

Overall I would stay here again if I plan another trip as poorly as I did this one and didn't setup campsite reservations in advance.

I really enjoyed my stay here.  The staff was very friendly and helpful.  I went to make my freeze dried meal and noticed I forgot to pack my camp spork and one of the other campers there helped me out.

I had a "lake front" site, which was really nice but still a good 100 yards from the lake.  But I was happy with an unobstructed view. 

The other campers were all very nice about not making too much noise after sundown which I really appreciated after a long and hot day riding in the area.

The really neat town of Winthrop is about 5 minutes away.  AT&T had good enough cell phone signal for me to be able to facetime with my wife and kids.

Next time I make this trip I plan on staying here again.
