This is a great campground close to Mesa. Incredibly clean sites, great layouts, flat, quiet, quality hookups.

Very clean park, host was friendly, sites were clean and well spaced. Full hookups worked well. We were situated by the little pond which is stocked with catch and release fish. We had a fire pit, though I don’t think all sites did. The setting is beautiful with mountains all around. There is not much to do in Questa but the drive to Red River was beautiful and only about 20 minutes.

A well kept RV Park. Hosts were friendly, sites were clean, all hookups were in good condition. They were updating the back section of the park while we were there so several of the premier sites were not available. We walked by them tho and they seemed very nice, some backing up to the forest, some with built in stone fire pits. Hosts were friendly, and good communicators. Also the sites do not have built in fire pits but they will bring you one or you can use your own.

We stayed at this park because the Theodore Roosevelt Nat'l Park North Unit campgrounds were closed for renovations. I mistakenly thought this park was close to the park, but it is actually a 90 minute drive. We had a reservation for 2 nights but only stayed one and moved to the CCC Campground to be closer to the park. The only real sites with a view are those that back-up to the Little Missouri River. All others are just looking at a prairie. This is also primarily a campground for horse people, which we are not. You do need to pay the additional North Dakota State Park fee if camping here.

First of all this campground is not $6 anymore. It is $20. There are no electric hook-ups and some of the parking areas are very unlevel.  Even though no hook-ups there were still a number of motorhomes and towables camping here, dominating the tent campers.  We were lucky enough to find a level site mid-week by arriving around 10 am. Sites were very clean and relatively spacious with asphalt paving. There isn't much to look at here.  Just kind of a prairie with a hill. There is a dump station. There is also a fill station by the picnic area with a threaded hose but we had to back our Class B up onto the sidewalk as we only carry a 25ft hose with us and the spigot was about 30 ft from the parking lot. We could hear traffic noise as you are right off I-94, but it wasn't obnoxious.

When we visited the North Unit of Roosevelt National Park, their campgrounds were closed, so we had to seek one outside the park. This was extremely close to the park and had great views! There are no hook-ups, and no dump station. The only water is a well that you have to pump yourself with a handle, so come with your black/grey tanks empty and water tank full. They do allow generators, but it would be nice if they didn't. We have solar panels so we always get annoyed with generators ruining the peace and quiet. The sites are large and mostly level. There must be horse trails out of this area as there were quite a few horse trailers camping. We would definitely consider this a good back-up in the future if the NPS campground is full.

We stayed here one night mid week after Labor Day and had no problem getting a site. I would venture this place is full on weekends during the summer. The sites were large and level and well kept. Even though no one else was there we appreciated the 2 lane dump and fill station that can handle 4 units at once! This would be good on. Sunday when there is often a line to leave. It was a bit pricey at $28 for the site and $8 state park fee.

This campground is mostly for tents or Class B RVs. We are the latter and were excited to camp somewhere where we weren’t dominated by large towables and Class As. There are no hookups and it would be rude to run your generator. Sites are clean and amply spaced. The helicopters overhead are a bit obnoxious but it’s great to be close to Mt Rushmore and Keystone without being with all the people. The campground was full even after Labor Day so I would suggest getting a reservation or arriving early.
