Stayed here awhile ago before we had our class A. It was a brief stay on our way to another spot. It’s nice and quiet, very small.
Not a ton of amenities but a nice spot. Lots of yearly returning guests. Really close to the beach and some fun beachy restaurants. Based on other spots we now know of this wouldn’t be our first choice but in a bind would stay again.
We were looking for a spot on the beach for a few days before we head up to Chattanooga and found Cajun RV. Great location next to a lot of fun amenities. We only have bikes so we are excited that we can walk/bike to multiple restaurants, kid places (go carts next door), beach and shops. There are also a few gas stations with the cheapest diesel I’ve seen in a month really close to the park.
The park itself is pretty tight in terms of spot size but not too bad. Ours is a back in but they aren’t renting both spots so we were able to pull right in. There were a few red ant spots right by our site (80) but a quick visit to the front desk and they had someone over to kill them immediately. Our spot is not shaded but there are others that are. We are really close to the pool/rec room/bathhouse which all seem very well maintained and clean. Even the dumpster area is somewhat hidden behind palm trees.
The staff are really courteous. If we are ever in the area we would definitely be willing to stay here again.
We had planned to come here when we knew COVID may have an impact on the amenities and unfortunately it did not disappoint. Other than the playground (which due to days of rain was a mud bath) everything was closed. We were hoping at this point the water park would be open but understandably it is not.
It has rained a lot here and the park has so so drainage so although our site is a little higher, many others are not as fortunate. Our site also has a nice area behind it so if your looking for space go for site 80.
There is a beach about 2 miles up the road and we had a fantastic time there. We don’t tow a car so parading with 2 kid carriers and a wagon was an endeavor on our bikes it was worth it. There is a bike path of sorts that you can use to get there
This park isn’t the fanciest but it has some of the best views you can find. Our spot was about 20 ft from the gulf and waking up to the sunrise was fantastic. It seems to cater to folks without kids as the beach isn’t much of a beach and there isn’t much to do other than look at the gulf. We weren’t expecting much more than that so everything met our expectations.
We had hoped to hang out on their dock but it was usually full of lawn chair fishermen so it wasn’t exactly enjoyable.
Overall great park. Simple but full hookups on the beach, hard to beat that.
Worst part first. If your looking for the ultimate location, keep looking. My wife’s mom lives right around the corner otherwise we may not have even considered Aztec.
However, this place spoiled us, it’s one of the nicest RV resorts I’ve ever seen, the lots were spacious and incredibly well maintained. I believe all the lots are privately owned or st least for sale so you are renting someone’s spot. Ours happened to have a massive tiki hut.
In terms of common amenities they are all in one central spot, they had two very nice pools, an area for hanging out under tables and tikis. The gym, library and bar were not open #COVID. They also pick up your trash every morning which is awesome. They “prefer” newer RVs and only allow class A.
If your looking for a place where you are self contained in a beautiful spot, this is worth looking at.
