This was one of our favorite spots on our road trip through SD! Quiet, beautiful and close to Rushmore, Hill City and Custer! The sites were nice with new concrete pads and fire pits. Pit toilets, didn’t see any showers.
You have to drive pretty far off the highway on gravel roads. When we got to the campground the one lane gravel road was packed on both sides with cars parked for an event at the campground. It made it quite difficult to pull a camper up to the campground. There was a party going on with loud music and a lot of college age people. Looked like a good time but not family friendly. The view was beautiful tho!
We got here later in the day and the staff was very helpful and got us settled right away. The campground was near full and most, if not all, the sites are pull through. A lot of long Coach RVs. I saw an area for tents and there is a bathhouse with showers. Also a pool. $50 for the night for electric and water and additional costs for fire wood and portable fire pit.
There was no signage and Google and Apple Maps couldn’t get us there. When we found the trailhead there was no designated camping spot on the maps. I
This campground is secluded and quiet. Next to a county park. Decent bath house with showers. Fire pits, water and electric hook ups at each site. $25 a night
Beautiful creek runs beside the camper/RV spots. Mixture of cabin, small motel and about 7 RV sites. Clean bath house. No individual fire pits. Sauna.
We stayed on the west side, great location. Clean and new.
Clean sites, good bath houses and restrooms, easy hiking trails for kids.
