Very nice, quiet and clean. Our site ( 150) had electricity and it was close to the bathroom , that are modern and clean. The sites are large, paved and with shade ( lots of trees). We had great phone and internet signal.Very short walk to the beach on a path between sites 167 and 168. They have a camp store , snack bar( open weekends) and park. The lakeside trail was longer then the trails we usually go on(5.3miles). I would not recommend to take a bike on that trail. The only thing that I didn’t liked was that the water in the beach area was too shallow ( only knee deep) and I couldn’t swim. I will definitely come back!
Beautiful , large state park. Not crowded. Most of the sites are shaded. Bathrooms in the campground need updating, but the ones by the beach are newer & clean . Only 3 min walk from our camp site( 171) to the beach, using a wide, grass path that starts behind site 132. There was no phone signal in the campground but you have Wi-Fi in the beach area. Also there is a concession stand with ice cream & food at the beach.
Nice campground. Some of the campsites are a little bit too close together with no privacy. Our site/47 was too sunny. No shade, no privacy. But during the week was not too crowded, nice and quiet. The bathrooms were nice and kept clean. We had to ride our bikes or walk to get to the beach, that was more then a mile away or just felt like it was more, because it wasn’t mostly flat and for the kids was hard to ride they’re bikes . But when we got there we were pleased. Large, clean beach with sand , no rocks or aquatic plants in the water. I will do more day trips to the beach in the future.
Beautiful . The only thing that I didn’t liked was that were a lot of sharp stones on the bottom of the swimming part of the lake .
I liked our site but I didn’t liked the bathrooms ( outdated and not very clean). We had phone signal & internet connection ( Tmobil-2or3bars) The campground beach is small with cloudy water and a lot of aquatic plants. Crowded in weekends. The trails are not very well maintained. We tried to access the beach on the other side using Lakeside trail , but we gave up. The part that starts close to entrance/park office, was inaccessible with overgrown shrubs and very tall plants. During the week was a lot better, nice and quiet. I’ve seen a lot of bunnies in this campground 🐰
We camped in a motor home two different times in site 184 & site 195 . The sites are not crowded, with plenty of shade & private. The bathroom is close by,has showers & is very clean. You can walk or ride a bike to the beach. The water is clean with sand on the bottom. Lakeside trail is short and easy. Tmobil no signal. We liked it very much and will camp there again.
