Total charge was $101/night with fees. $7 reservation fee (I called in) and $6.40 credit card fee.
Feel free to think I'm paranoid but I absolutely did NOT like that we were required to allow them to copy our driver's license. In 12 years of RV'ing I've never seen this. The desk promised to shred the ID copy after we left or return it to us (when we left the clerk was confused about giving it back).
SIX pages! of legalese rules you have to sign that are obviously not being enforced anyway and appear to be focused on long term guests.
If there had been other options for a last minute stay I would have left, but they probably would have kept my money. Cancelations <72 hours before is NO REFUND.
Sites are adequately spaced and are neat and clean. Some small trees (fairly new park). Very nice paved roads and gravel sites but really just a parking lot. Some long term guests.
No picnic table or fire ring (wood fires not allowed in any case).
As with most "RV Resorts" describing it thusly is an exaggeration.
Gate code required for entry, difficult to see screen in sunlight.
Fees charged to accept packages.$1.50-$5 depending on size.
Two dogs under 25 pounds each are allowed.
Sites are long paved pull through from the road into the city park. Nice park for walking along the pecan bayou. No office/store. Just call helpful Giles and heโll assign your site. Contact-less. Weโve stayed here ยฝ dozen times and it has always been a pleasant experience. High water pressure makes using a regulator essential.
Weโve stayed here 5 times because of the great view and competitive rates. $67 including all taxes and fees. Sites are much further apart than the other 4 parks in Estes.
โฆbut strange parking. Tip โ park further away from hookups than you think you should. Very nice common area. Sculptures, structures and grass ๐.
Good water pressure. Good amount of space between sites. โbout all I can say good about it. Call for res โ do not use online system as you will be charged $5 for booking online. This should have been disclosed before payment. On second thought donโt reserve at all as there are plenty of empty spaces. Hard to get to from SB I-27 exit 51. I should have followed GPS to get off at exit 53. I was towing a car so had to pull through to clear road (almost clear). Since hook-ups are at the rear of the site I had to leave the toad in the road just a little and use two sewer hoses. 25โ water hose barely reached. Site is long enough and gravel covered. However when I pulled-through I had to drive on a field of dirt to leave. Glad it dint rain. I suppose $40 (35 Goodsam) isnโt too bad just donโt expect much.
