I see you, Fall 🔥🍁🏕

This is our second time here. It is becoming one of our favorite weekend places to slip away to. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Bathroom facilities are immaculate. We stayed on #17 again, it our favorite. 17 had a small path to the bathroom for short natural stroll.

Waterfront Tranquility

Our stay at Chester Frost was amazing. We stayed on site 172. We could not be happier with our choice. The campsite was very spacious, quiet and one of the best views! The sites that are waterfront are spread out really well. This is the most quiet campground we have ever stayed at, at one point we talked about feeling like we were the only people there. We were not the only people there, it was quite full. The campground provides so many recreational opportunities. They have a frisbee golf course, playgrounds, walking trails, beach, easy access to the water and fields to start up any activity you desire. We read about uneven campsite but ours was pretty flat. Bathhouse were fabulous. They have individual shower rooms, and the restrooms are up to date with contactless toilets, sinks and hand dryers. The showers and bathrooms were cleaned frequently. The sites do not have a grill but have a picnic table and a fire-pit. The wildlife is very active! The first morning we woke up to deer on our campsite, no better way to wake up! The raccoons scavenging spooked us too one night. There were ten right outside our trailer when I stepped out one night 🤣.

We definitely we stay here again with no hesitation. We loved it and it has moved to the top of our list of places to stay again!

Not what we hoped for

We stayed in the Antioch loop on site 93. The site was super close to 92 and 94. We felt we had no personal space. A couple kept walking through our campsite to get to a boat they had parked at our site. I love rustic but Antioch was not rustic, it was over grown and did not look maintained. We think they are letting the Antioch loop go. If that something you like, over grown and close, Antioch loop is for you. We do plan to come back and will try out the Catoma Loop. Catoma Loop looks more like what we enjoy; spaced out, maintained and welcoming.

Quietly Spacious

This was by far one of the most quite COE campground we have been to. We made the mistake of booking the FlyerFly loop, the bathhouse was closed due to COVID. The camp host was very nice and helped us move to Yellowhammer where the bathhouse was open. So if you are looking for a spot near an open bathhouse, Yellowhammer is where it is at.

Like is said, peace and quite was the theme of the weekend. The camp was full but you would have thought the opposite based on how quite is was.

This place has an amazing trail, spots of gorgeous sunset or sunrise gazing, and shade.

We can’t wait to come back!

Peacefully Beautiful

We love Deerlick! Nice cleans sites, happy hosts, and clean bathhouse! We can’t wait to get back. The recreation options were endless.

Peaceful and Pristine

We were blown away by how peaceful Burchfield was. Lot 17 felt like we were all alone. There was adequate place between us and the neighbors, a peaceful creek separating us. The bath house was super clean. The camp host were active and extremely friendly.

Tight sites

We loved the history and beauty of THSP. Everyone was so friendly, but we felt like we were on top of the people beside us.

Great Weekend in the Bankhead National Forest

We stayed on site 101 on Bear Loop. Clear Creek was a beautiful and quiet facility. Staff was kind and helpful. CCRA just experienced major storms in the area, but did a great job accommodating individuals who’s sites flooded and needed to move. There was only one of bathhouse open for the property. It did not bother us, but could have been frustrating for others. We will be back soon.
