Nice small campground. Restrooms are clean. Staff is very friendly but coverage for getting ice or wood is spotty.
Biggest downside is the noise from the big trucks going up and down the hill on the highway that abuts the campground
Stayed four nights. We were in a loop with lots of trees. Campsite was quite large. Sites back onto very thick foliage and woods. Keep everything well secured from an army of racoons.
Restrooms were clean and nice
Campground is very well organized and maintained. We were in Section C which seemed newer and didn't have as well developed trees as Sections A and B
Two nights in a SylvanGo pop up. Surrounded by larger RVs but the woods surrounding the Buffalo Ridge campground is very peaceful. Lots of hiking trails. Pay attention to your campsite for slope and camper assessibility.
Very clean bathroom. Well organized operation
Most striking feature was the wonderful natural separation between the sites on the "west" loop. Sites are large and very level. Nice hiking trails and a bird watching site and nature center. They have an abundance of volunteers who keep things clean as well as do occasional drive byes in case you have an issue or need help.
The campground is less than 15 minutes from charming St. Mary's, GA. It has several wonderful restaurants and parks and is a short boat ride from Cumberland Island National Seashore. Unfortunately no dogs are allowed on the park operated boats.
Make sure you have bug spray.
Wonderful wooded sites. Very quiet and peaceful with hiking trails. No electricity at our site. Bath houses were very spacious and clean.
