Nice little park

Was a small but clean and tidy park with lots of shade trees around. I arrived there after hours but had made a reservation over the phone prior. Park staff were nice enough to have a park map ready for me when I arrived directing me to my site in the back corner of the park. They actually had a really cool sign at my camp spot made up for me. The spot itself was a bit small, but clean and under a nice shade tree. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. The only minor gripe I would have is they are a bit small and cramped, but for one night it worked just fine. Would definitely camp here again if I'm the area.

Was ok for 1 night

Needed a place to pitch a tent for the night and stopped here. The park is fairly large and has a lot of shade trees around it. Unfortunately, I guess the tent area they normally use was closed and I was directed to pitch my tent behind the front office. It was a small shaded grassy area. For $20, it worked. The only real complaint I would have was the bathroom area could have used some cleaning, both inside and out, washing and cleaning of showers, sinks, shelves, sweeping up of dirt and leaves around the building.

Nice facility

Is a rather small but clean and tidy facility. Tent sites are small but fairly level. Liked that they had individual bathrooms. Didn't like the proximity of the park to the highway which made it somewhat noisy in the early evening. Is very close to town of Lander

Good spot overall

A small but clean, neat, and tidy facility a few miles south of Carbondale. Sites are fairly packed together, so privacy is not at a premium here. The bathroom facilities are small but very clean and modern. A few years back when I was here, I had to wait for showers. That was not the case on this visit. Sites on the river are very nice, especially if you want to spend some time playing in it. The KOA is next to the highway, and road noise was an issue a few times, but nothing horrible. Staff was very friendly. Would stay here again if in the area.

Great Resort!

We pitched a tent here for 3 nights. Excellent, very large facility next to RMNP. The tent sites are large and spaced out nicely to provide some privacy. Loved the shower and bathroom facilities, large, clean, and modern with plenty of hot water in the morning. The general store was very handy and staff very friendly. Was a great base for going out and exploring the greater area and less than 10 minutes from the restaurants and stores of Grand Lake. Unfortunately, the area is going to be recovering from last year's fires for quite some time. But will be interesting to see how things recover over time. The only knock, if you want to call it one, is the bathrooms are a little ways away from camp sites, so if you need to go in the middle of the night, it's a bit of a walk. But would highly recommend this resort and hope to be back in the future.
