Awesome spot on the ridge, lots of sites up past the mountain bike staging area and the best spots are a little past the TV tower its self. Best with a decent clearance 4wd - definitely not an RV spot. Windy at night for sure, and can be a bit busy with people going past on the road. Takes a while to go up - winding road, so give plenty of time. But cool spot off the 101 and right near SLO
Nice , pretty well kept site but just way too many people. Not my type of “camping “. (Lots of charcoal lit with lighter fluid , yuck) You can get wiffs of the toilet when the wind changes direction. Its OK. I’ll take off grid forest roads any day over this. The Creek is gorgeous, clean water thats great for a morning plunge . Also very close to slide rock (which is also wildly crowded but even more beautiful and super fun)
Awesome rugged camping in the middle of the Mojave. Cool little hikes into the washes. Nice and quiet, far and tucked away from the road. Loved it
Was excited to camp here during a visit to flagstaff..but its closed due to wildfire potential danger. Which makes sense to ban campFIRES but all camping? On public land? Lame.
