Nice, Clean and Fantastic Staff.

We tried out this place as our first family camping trip. When we were for arriving at the camp site we noticed how close together the campsites were. So close that people camping on both sides were setting up parts of their equipment on our campsite. The staff was pleasant and accommodated us and let us pick out our own site where we felt way more comfortable and even drove us and kids in their golf cart around the campground until we chose a new site (way to go!). Once settled into the new site we absolutely loved it and wouldn’t mind coming back. Also, the facilities are well-maintained

Such a Perfect Place to Camp

Went tent camping and absolutely loved the spaciousness and privacy of the sites. Has excellent proximity to the boardwalk and beach which is a plus. The bathrooms and showers are a bit outdated, but definitely well-maintained and clean. We’re going to come back to this place with the camper next.

A Good Overnight Stop

This place is a perfect stop for us on the way down south from Pennsylvania. Their pull-through site are perfectly sized. The campground is well-maintained and clean. This place makes it convenient to pull in, get your rest, and go. I’m sure it would be a great place to stay at to visit King’s Dominion as well! (we just haven’t used it for that reason yet!)

Stunning!

No electric, but that’s ok! Also, I recommend filling your freshwater tank at the RV station before unhitching. Cedar Pass was everything we hoped it would be and then some. Spectacular star gazing opportunities at night and easy access to the beautiful trails at Badlands. We definitely would come back to this place in a heartbeat.

Impressed

Spent Halloween here on a last minute reservation and man were we happy! This campsite is remote to the rest of VA for the most part, but hey isn’t that what camping is all about? Site #16 was perfect. It was gravel site that was level and very well maintained. Possibly our favorite campground in a VA State Park so far, it was that great of an experience. Come stocked with food and water since I don’t think there’s any large food markets that are close by (I could be wrong). We had water hookups and electric. They also have firewood sold at the campground that they sell on the honor system.

Can’t Wait To Go Back

Went in October 2020. We stayed in a small but nice and cozy site #170 (had water and 30A electric). This place is perfect to unwind and not be too far from civilization. We took the kiddos to the beach and just sat back and relaxed. We were able to maintain a safe distance since the camper access to the beach is separate. Overall loved it and would definitely recommend to all.
