Unimpressed

In my opinion only good thing about this campground was location near hunter and the devils path trail we wanted to do. Management was not friendly or helpful in process, when we arrived site reserved online was too small to fit two cars with being in the road even though the site was listed as fitting two vehicles. Management refused to allow use to change reservation to an open site or to allow me to reserve another site to leave cars at for the night. In addition very busy road runs right through the campground. I would not recommend or stay here again.

Amazing views

Awesome spot. Primitive camping, but neighbors are far apart. You can only Camp in designated spots, road is very rough to campsites but well worth it.

Good Lake Access

Great access to the shores of Lake Ontario from campground. Also few mile stretch of beaches. Short but pretty nature trail through the woods opposite the lake as well that goes through hard words and into wetlands.

Steps from the beach

Great location. Wish it wasn’t so crowded but is definitely a great spot. We decided to stay here vs the casino campground to be on the water. Very buggy.

Remote

Loved this campground. Pretty much had an entire island to ourselves and got to enjoy the beautiful saranac lake. We will be back!

Hidden gem!

Had an awesome time camping here! Was a real hidden gem at the strawberry reservoir. We would most definitely go back to hang out by the water for a few days.

Very windy with little cover

Good access to the lake right by but very very windy on the plains. Had a shade cover but not much else. I was glad we were only passing through.

So much fun

Great place to stay, was close enough to for a bit of a drive to both Bryce and Zion but wasn’t crowded mid August. Right on the coral pink sand dunes and everyone had a lot of fun renting Off road vehicles to take for a spin.

Worth the drive

Very remote campground. They have electric, gas, and a market right down the road at the marina. Showers are available at the bathrooms by the water. Couldn’t believe the unreal views.

Great views and private sites

This campground is located right up the road from the marina. Loved being able to be close to the water but have such a private, wooded site. Can be busy and would recommend a reservation vs walk-in.

Beautiful area

Not quite as busy as the neighboring campgrounds and we were able to get a walk in site. Loved having the shade from the trees.

Beautiful

Great dispersed camping. Beautiful views and we were able to launch our paddle board right from the shore. Homemade fire pits worked well.

Watch out for the sprinklers

Conveniently located campground near the marina with a very friendly host. Would recommend staying at the dispersed camping as this feels like a parking lot.
