This is a great site for kids. They have a lot of great amenities for kid’s entertainment. A lot of families camped here. The staff was very helpful & friendly. My only complaint is that the sites are really close together. Kind of makes you feel like a can of sardines.
We spent a weekend here last October & I was pretty happy with the accommodations. I could have firewood delivered right to my site which was a nice convenience. The showers were not free, so that was a little annoying. However, the bathrooms & showers were nice & clean. There is a restaurant there that I was hoping to check out, but didn’t. It looks pretty nice. Great trails to access & the grounds are close enough to also get the whole North Shore experience.
It’s in Wawona where I discovered my love of the outdoors. It’s close enough to the valley for a day trip down there. There is so much to do in Wawona too though! It’s also really close to the Redwoods. It is a prime spot for a Yosemite trip.
We had a site at the Oak Ridge campground. Each site was very enclosed by trees & it made it really cozy & private. We went down to the lake to see it, but didn’t go swimming so I have no opinion of it. The Lakeside campground looked nice too so I’ll have to try to reserve a spot on that side sometime in the future. We were only there one day so we didn’t explore a whole lot.
This is a fun campground for young kids. It has a lot of things to do to keep them going all day. Clean bathrooms are a plus too. The one drawback, in my opinion, is that the lake it is right next to doesn’t have a beach for swimming. That was a little disappointing for me. Otherwise it is a fun campground resort & I will be heading back next year!
