Loved this campground

Centrally located in the Black Hills, this campground is a convenient place to stay while you visit the various attractions of the Black Hills. Our family had a great time swimming, boating and fishing on the lake. The nearby marina has a small store that makes it convenient for any last minute essentials. We would definitely visit this campground again.

This is an annual trip for us

One of our favorite campgrounds that has become an annual trip for us the last few years. There are great sites right on the water with plenty of tree shade and privacy. Great for kayaking or SUP. This campground is located a short distance from downtown Denver but makes you feel hours away.

Nice mountain backdrop

We stayed here for a couple of nights and had a nice spot on the shore of Green Mountain Reservoir. Had the opportunity to do some kayaking and fishing. There was plenty of separation from the other sites the bushes between the sites and the reservoir helped block the wind. We would stay here again.

Plan to go back...

We camped here for one night and unfortunately didn't arrive till 6:30. With the 11:00 am check out the following morning we didn't get to enjoy very much of what the park has to offer. But we plan on going back for two nights later this summer. There's plenty to do with the reservoir and trails in the park. Boat, fish, hike or bike just take your pick. Be forewarned that most of the sites are out in the open. Not much protection from wind and sun on the North side of the reservoir.

Great location

Recently spent a night here after moving from a private RV/tent campground a few miles away. The sites are spacious and spread apart enough for privacy. The campground was well shaded and just a short drive from downtown Moab. We would definitely camp here again.
