Amazing!!

You cannot park overnight directly at the lake itself. If you look online, it says that you must be at least 1 mile away from the lake to camp overnight. But the road to get to kinnikinick lake is FULL of places to pull off and camp for free. We saw a ton of big RVs camping along that road. Any vehicle can go down this road. But you will see a sign that will say if you are within 1 mile from the lake so it’s easy to know if you are in a good spot to park and sleep over night. There were no reviews when I arrived so I was rolling the dice but this is PERFECT to camp for free in the flagstaff area. So many trees for shade and privacy and a bunch of spots to choose from going down that road.

Great spot!

Not too many free places to camp and park in the area but I loved this spot. There are bathrooms and about 6 spots with big awnings. The road to get there is a bit bumpy but you don’t need a 4 wheel drive to get there.

There were a ton of moths at night so be careful if you are trying to cook dinner after dark 😂

Amazing

Absolutely amazing. Cannot recommended this enough. About 12 miles up a dirt road and you are there. The road is a little bumpy but you do not need a 4 wheel drive to make it. About 1/2 way down this dirt road there is a trial head with a bathroom. There are about 6 spots to park at the end of the road. The views are SPECTACULAR! Seriously cannot recommend this spot enough. There is a trail right super close that leads down into the canyon as well.
