Literally the friendliest camp ranger in the world- gave us so much good info on the park and surrounding area. The campground is set on a gorgeous reservoir, get site QU18, it is the best (says me and the friendly park ranger)! Farthest from the rest of the sites, and right by the water. Good tent pad, fire ring, picnic table, and shade structure.
The park was beautiful and the campground is set back in the woods, with plenty of space between the sites. Nice tent pad, picnic table, and fire ring. Restrooms were okay, typical state park campground (shower was slightly warm). The camp host was so nice- I didn’t have any cash, but he gave us a small bundle of wood for free. Great camp ground!
very nice bathroom facilities, the women’s shower was clean and actually hot! also two big sinks for laundry/ dishes. Campsite had a nice table, metal hook, and fire ring. 4 stars only because the campsites are a little pricey for out of state, and very close together. wild ponies at this park, first sighting only a 5 minute walk from our campsite!
