Oologha, Ok Nostalgia

Many moons ago back in the day. The year was 1977. Just got married in Miami, Ok. Rode in our primer gray '69 Mustang Fastback. Took my Uncle with us and headed out to Oologha Lake from Claremore. What a camp area!! Threw a line in and I caught a 12 pound Drum! I was 22 and so proud of that fish!! Built a fire and cleaned him. Wrapped in foil and cooked with fried potatoes and corn on the cob!! Best dinner ever and then slept out on the ground under the stars!! Beautiful lake. Quiet and peaceful!!

Lone Wolf

Camped primitive at Twin Bridges State Park in 2002 by myself. Set up one-person tent. Built a campfire and enjoyed the solitude. Grand lake and Spring river joins together there just over the hill. Thats reason its called Twin Bridges! On 60 highway west of Senaca, Mo and between there and Fairland, Ok going west. Nice shelters with bath houses and picnic tables. Fishing is great! Have roped off swimming area too. Rangers came through every couple hours to do a security check which was nice. Made coffee next morning on fire and brother came with cinnamon rolls and to visit!! What a nice campground.

Pomme de Terre Gods'country!

Visited Pomme de Terrre campground and loved the area with beautiful water, fishing and boating. Walk to the water to go fishing. Start fire ring for cooking while relaxing at the picnic tables at your campsite. What a layed back and awesome lake area!!!
